RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat Emphasizes Cohesion on Republic Day

RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat Emphasizes Cohesion on Republic Day

Speaking at a Republic Day celebration in Bhiwandi, Maharashtra, RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat underlined the importance of cohesion, respect for diversity, and fulfilling responsibilities towards the nation. Addressing the audience after unfurling the national flag, he called Republic Day not only a time for celebration but also a moment to reflect on national duties.

Bhagwat highlighted that diversity, which often causes clashes worldwide, is viewed in India as a natural aspect of life. "You can have your own specialities, but cohesion is the key to living in harmony," he said. Stressing interconnectedness, he added, "A family cannot be happy if the town is in trouble, just as an individual cannot be content if their family is unhappy."

He also emphasized the need for combining knowledge and dedication in all endeavors. "Any work done without proper thought does not bear fruit and only brings trouble. A task performed without knowledge is like the work of a lunatic," he remarked.

Using a metaphor, Bhagwat compared cooking rice to the importance of knowledge in tasks. "If you know how to cook, you use water, heat, and rice. But if you lack knowledge and instead eat dry rice, drink water, and stand in sunlight, it won't turn into a meal," he explained, reinforcing the significance of thoughtful action.

Bhagwat also spoke about the value of faith and dedication. Drawing a contrast, he said, "At a hotel, asking for water might get you ignored or insulted. At a home, however, you're welcomed with a jug of water and food. The difference lies in faith and dedication."

His address underscored the need for harmonious living, thoughtful work, and mutual respect to strengthen societal bonds and uphold the nation's unity.
