In a strong show of force, the Indian Navy has successfully conducted multiple long-range precision anti-ship missile firings in the Arabian Sea, reaffirming its combat readiness to safeguard national maritime interests. The drills involved Kolkata-class destroyers, as well as Nilgiri and Krivak-class frigates, with visuals showing BrahMos anti-ship and anti-surface cruise missiles striking targets with precision.
"The Indian Navy stands combat-ready, credible, and future-ready in safeguarding the nation's maritime interests Anytime, Anywhere, Anyhow," the Navy declared in an official statement, highlighting the success of the exercise.
Pakistan, which issued a notification about the firings in the Arabian Sea region, remains on high alert as tensions between the two countries escalate following the brutal Pahalgam terror attack. The massacre of 26 civilians in Jammu and Kashmir — the deadliest since the abrogation of Article 370 — has sparked national outrage in India.
In response to the terror attack, India has suspended the Indus Waters Treaty, ordered Pakistani nationals to return home, and frozen all bilateral cooperation. Meanwhile, Pakistan announced it was suspending existing agreements with India. Repeated ceasefire violations along the Line of Control have further strained the situation, though Indian forces have effectively responded without sustaining casualties.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing the nation during his monthly 'Mann Ki Baat', expressed the collective grief and anger felt across the country. "Every Indian's blood is boiling," he said, adding that the enemies of peace in Kashmir could not digest the region’s progress and stability.
The Indian Navy’s precision drills serve as a timely reminder of India’s military preparedness and resolve to respond decisively to any threats, ensuring the nation’s security across all domains — land, sea, and air.
