Lady Irwin College, University of Delhi, witnessed the virtual orientation programme, IBTIDA, on 17^th Nov 2020- 18^th Nov 2020. Besides the prevailing pandemic, the college left no stones unturned in welcoming an upcoming batch of students. Day 1 was started by a lamp lighting ceremony along with University song & showcasing the college film to students & their parents. 

Then orientation convenor, Dr. Mayanka Gupta gave her opening remarks. Also the director, Dr. Anupa Siddhu welcomed the entire gathering through her inspiring words regarding the working of college as well as motivated them to excel in curricular & co-curricular activities. Session 1 started with students making aware of the new LOCF syllabus & information from Undergraduate & Postgraduate Departments were given through the pre-prepared Presentations, which gave students an idea regarding the courses. Students were also made aware of the facilities, the college provides.

 In Session 2, the guest of honour, Dr. Suchi Gaur & Ms. Arunima Banerjee, boosted up the confidence of the upcoming batch with the experiences they had as Irwinites. After the concluding remarks by the session chair, students were introduced to the All India Women’s Education Fund Association (AIWEFA) existing in college.    

In Session 3, Students’ Association  President, Ms. Shivani Singh, along with all the central members of the Association & society performances filled the event with great joy.  Students were also made aware of the college campus being anti-ragging & no-smoking zone. Then lastly Orientation Convenor, Dr. Dipesh Aggarwal, ended the event with the vote of thanks along with the circulation of feedback forms.
