India's Global Outreach Gains Momentum After Pahalgam Attack

In Johannesburg, MP Supriya Sule led a multi-party team that addressed over 350 members of the Indian diaspora, calling on them to stand with India’s global campaign against terrorism. She termed the Pahalgam attack as “an assault on India’s soul” and explained that India seeks peace, but not at the cost of innocent lives. Other members, including Anurag Thakur and Syed Akbaruddin, highlighted Operation Sindoor, which eliminated over 100 terrorists across Pakistan and PoK. The gathering applauded India’s decisive stance and South Africa’s early condemnation of the attack.
In Rome, a separate delegation led by BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad met Italian Senator Stefania Craxi, who stressed the need for global unity against terrorism and proposed deeper India-Italy cooperation. The team, which earlier visited France, will continue to Denmark, Germany, and Brussels.
In Jakarta, JDU MP Sanjay Kumar Jha led another team that secured Indonesia’s backing for India’s position. Indonesian officials condemned terrorism and supported India’s peaceful, diplomatic approach.
In Panama City, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor’s delegation met National Assembly President Dana Castaneda, who offered symbolic support and assured Panama’s solidarity with India’s anti-terror campaign. The delegation also engaged with Panama’s Indian community and visited cultural landmarks, showcasing India’s inclusive diplomacy.
These coordinated efforts, following India’s May 7 precision strikes and Pakistan’s subsequent retaliatory attempts, have helped build broad-based support for India's narrative. Hostilities ceased after a DGMO-level understanding on May 10, with India reaffirming its firm resolve to defend its citizens and global peace.
