Actors into Comics?

The antics of Suppandi, the tall tales of Shikari Shambhu and the wisdom of Tantri — who can forget the characters who were an essential part of our childhood days. And now, Tinkle, where each of these characters have been appearing every month with unfailing regularity get to share inch space with actor Ranveer Singh in the magazine’s second issue for January. He is seen posing with the favorite Tinkle Toons, on the cover page of the issue.

And if you turn the pages, ‘All in a day’s work’ is the comic strip starring Ranveer Singh and Tinkle Toons. That’s not all. Tinkle spotlight will also be featuring an interview with the Simmba star.

The issue will hit the stands on January 16.

However, this is not the first time that celebrities have been a part of the much-loved children’s magazine. The Indian cricketer Virat Kohli featured in the magazine in November 2016, director Gauri Shinde in May 2017, sportsperson P V Sidhu in November 2017 and author Ruskin Bond in September 2018 (700th issue).

The actor in the meantime, continues his uninterrupted run at the box office where his latest release, Simmba has notched up 350 crores making it his biggest solo hit. This also make it the highest grossing Bollywood movie for both Rohit Shetty and Karan Johar who are the co-producers.
