AI Precision: Israel's Advanced Technology Reshapes Conflict in Gaza

Following the termination of the truce between Israel and Hamas, hostilities resumed in Gaza, with casualties reported shortly after. Israel, vowing to uproot Hamas after a deadly attack on October 7, intensified its efforts with an all-out ground and air assault. Notably, Artificial Intelligence (AI) plays a crucial role in Israel's military strategy. Systems like "Gospel," "Alchemist," and "Depth of Wisdom," previously used in the 2021 conflict, are employed for target selection and precision airstrikes.

"Gospel" facilitates the automatic generation of targets, providing rapid and accurate intelligence recommendations. In the ongoing conflict, AI, alongside data from Human Intelligence (HUMINT), Visual Intelligence (VISINT), and Signal Intelligence (SIGINT), processes information from various sources, contributing to over 12,000 targets being hit in 27 days of fighting. The IDF claims that AI-generated data has significantly increased the number of targets, with "Gospel" serving as a key tool in identifying and building a database of suspected militants. Aviv Kochavi, former head of the IDF, emphasized the AI-powered capabilities of the target division, involving hundreds of officers and soldiers.

Notably, AI platforms like "Fire Factory" are employed to assemble and coordinate rapid airstrikes, demonstrating the integration of advanced technologies in Israel's military operations.
