Today, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) achieved a significant milestone with the successful launch of its first X-Ray Polarimeter Satellite, XPoSat, as part of the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle's (PSLV) C58 mission. The launch represents a crucial advancement in the exploration of celestial objects, particularly black holes.
ISRO Chief S Somanath declared the mission a success on January 1, 2024. PSLV-C58 effectively deployed the primary satellite, XPoSat, into its designated orbit at 650 km with a 6-degree inclination. Mr. Somanath expressed enthusiasm about the prospects for the new year, highlighting the commencement of 2024 with the PSLV launch. Anticipating an exciting year ahead, he mentioned the upcoming launches and emphasized that 2024 is poised to be the year of Mission Gaganyaan.
