BJP Winning 370 Seats in LS 2024 Elections : PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the importance of the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) pro-poor initiatives and India's global development in the upcoming Lok Sabha election campaign, stating that winning 370 seats would be a fitting tribute to the party's key ideologue, Syama Prasad Mookerjee.

Mookerjee, known for his staunch opposition to Article 370 which granted special rights to Jammu and Kashmir, saw his vision realized when the Modi government abolished the article in August 2019.

Addressing a gathering of the BJP's national office-bearers prior to the party's convention, Modi urged every booth worker to focus on increasing the party's vote count by at least 370 votes per booth compared to the 2019 elections.

During his speech, Modi cautioned party members against being swayed by the opposition's attempts to divert the campaign with "unnecessary and emotional issues." Instead, he urged them to remain steadfast in highlighting the government's developmental initiatives, pro-poor policies, and India's growing stature on the global stage.

According to BJP General Secretary Vinod Tawde, Modi stressed the importance of reaching out to beneficiaries of various central government schemes, announcing plans for a campaign starting on February 25 to engage with them effectively.

Highlighting his own track record of over 23 years in governance, which includes more than 12 years as the Chief Minister of Gujarat, Modi proudly asserted that there have been no allegations of corruption against him. He described his tenure as "free from accusations and full of development," highlighting the rarity of such an achievement in Indian politics.

Modi's remarks underscored the BJP's strategic focus on portraying itself as a party committed to inclusive growth and good governance, with a clear agenda centered on the welfare of the poor and India's progress on the global front. By invoking Syama Prasad Mookerjee's legacy and setting a target of 370 seats, Modi aimed to galvanize party workers and rally support for the BJP's electoral campaign based on its core principles and achievements.
