Trump Denies US Role in Iran Strikes, Warns of Retaliation if Attacked

Former US President Donald Trump on Sunday firmly denied any American involvement in the overnight Israeli strikes on Iran, while issuing a stark warning to Tehran against any attempt to target the United States.

Taking to his platform, Truth Social, Trump wrote, "The US had nothing to do with the attack on Iran tonight. If we are attacked in any way, shape or form by Iran, the full strength and might of the US Armed Forces will come down on you at levels never seen before."

His remarks came just hours after Israel claimed responsibility for a sweeping series of strikes on Iranian military and nuclear facilities, including the Defence Ministry headquarters and the SPND nuclear project.

Trump, who is running for re-election, also asserted that he could broker peace between the two arch-rivals. “I can easily get a deal done between Iran and Israel and end this bloody conflict,” he said.

His comments come amid soaring regional tensions, with Iran and Israel locked in direct military confrontation. A planned US-Iran nuclear dialogue in Oman was cancelled, deepening concerns about escalating conflict across the Middle East.
