The Tecno Camon 30 5G series, which includes the Tecno Camon 30 5G and Camon 30 Premier 5G, was launched in India on Saturday. Both models are powered by MediaTek Dimensity chips and run on HiOS 14 based on Android 14. The Premier model boasts three 50-megapixel rear cameras, while both handsets feature a 50-megapixel selfie camera. Each phone is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery supporting 70W wired charging.

Pricing and Availability

The Tecno Camon 30 5G is priced at Rs. 22,999 for the 8GB+256GB model, with a 12GB+256GB variant available for Rs. 26,999. The Camon 30 Premier 5G, with a 12GB+512GB configuration, is priced at Rs. 39,999. Both smartphones will be available for purchase in India starting May 23, with a Rs. 3,000 instant bank discount.

Specifications

Both models are dual-SIM smartphones running on Android 14-based HiOS 14. The standard Camon 30 5G features a 6.78-inch full-HD+ AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and is powered by a 6nm Dimensity 7020 chip. The Premier model has a 6.77-inch 1.5K LTPO AMOLED screen, also with a 120Hz refresh rate, and uses a 4nm Dimensity 8200 Ultimate chip.

For photography, both phones have a 50-megapixel primary rear camera. The standard model includes a 2-megapixel depth sensor, while the Premier model adds a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. Both models feature a 50-megapixel front camera.

Storage and Connectivity

The Tecno Camon 30 5G offers 256GB of storage, whereas the Camon 30 Premier 5G provides 512GB. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, GNSS, and USB Type-C. Sensors on both devices include an accelerometer, gyroscope, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor. Additionally, they feature an IR blaster for controlling compatible appliances and an in-display fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication.

Software Support

Tecno promises up to Android 16 updates and three years of security patches for both models.
