On the eve of assuming the G20 presidency, Harsh Vardhan Shringla made a strong pitch for a new technology order that combines cross-border flows of technology and investment with development and growth apparatus. The G20 comprises the most powerful bock of countries namely Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, the UK, the US and the European Union.
He was addressing the Global Technology Summit, Shringla, India's Chief Coordinator for G20, said the principle of data for development will be an integral part of the overall theme of India's presidency of the group of the world's developed and emerging economies.
"India's presidency will take forward efforts to create a holistic global health architecture that can respond better to future health crises like the Covid pandemic," he said. India is all set to formally take over the G20 presidency from Indonesia on December 1.
