BJP rebels with RAGA likely to challenge Modi to the Road for GE 2019

BJP rebels with RAGA likely to challenge Modi to the Road for GE 2019

It is a well-known fact in the power corridors of Lutyens’ Delhi that PM Narendra Modi’s closest people are closer to Congress dispensation than the present boss. Modi has lived his entire life away from the high and mighty people of the national capital whereas PM's favorite colleagues have lived their entire political life within the cozy club of Delhi. The vested interest and corporate lobby have secured new life in the present NDA government courtesy of breaking into Modi’s key people's inner circle and suddenly present government started looking vulnerable. There are compromises and concessions made to the culprits that were instrumental in the downfall of the UPA government on daily basis. The niche of Modi’s clean government is under threat. Brand Modi is intact but serious allegations against two key family members of the PM have dented the image of a clean government - the USP of the present Modi government.

The functioning of MoF, tax terror regime and ballooning NPA of the banks has dented the sentiments of the economy. The Prime Minister of India is the tallest and most popular leader in India but the surroundings around him have started challenging the undisputed leadership of NaMo.

The million-dollar question is how NaMo can handle the most difficult strategic decision of replacing his most trusted men with new energetic honest faces to bring fresh energy to the NaMo brand. RSS is a BJP ideologue to guide in the time of crisis but can RSS push for the proposed change by suggesting the real problem that Modi is facing today? Modi is completely dependent on Shah’s enormous organizational skills and surely to Amit Shah’s credit, BJP has grown vertically pan India. The problem is brewing for almost a year wherein several disgruntled party leaders namely Advani, MM Joshi, Ram Jethmalani, Yashwant Sinha, Arun Shorie, Shotgun Sinha, Navjot Sidhu, Kirti Azad and several state leaders are virtually ignored by Modi - Shah duo have started working in synergy to defame and dislodge Team Modi. The rebels have inflicted huge damage to the unassailable team of Modi in Gujarat and the plan is likely to go pan India very soon. The serious allegations levied against Shah’s son and dismal finance ministry performance has damaged the Modi government to the maximum in the recent past. The dramatic 2G verdict has complicated the matter for the Modi government that came to power on the promise of fighting corruption relentlessly. 2G trial judge has virtually accused CBI and its legal team of incompetence and indirectly blamed the government for its failure to pursue the serious case in a court of law.

On the international front, President Trump's explosive tweet blaming Pakistan to be the terror state aiding and promoting global terrorism has created a ripple in south Asia. It depicts partial victory for Indian diplomacy but the Indian state must be cautious of the fact that China is blatantly supporting rouge Pakistan state. The strategic relationship between the USA, Israel, Japan and India has created a new world order to counter the extremist ideology-based countries. India is witnessing a structural change in fiscal, diplomatic, social, and defense sectors under Narendra Modi's leadership. Of course, India has successfully cornered Pakistan diplomatically. The principal challenge in foreign and economic policy for India is likely to come from China. The next challenge for Modi government is an extremely uphill task to tackle unemployment, fiscal unrest, hostile neighbor namely China and Pakistan, oil price rise, etc. Today PM Narendra Modi is politically comfortable for 2019 due to the TINA factor but the factual ground-level reality is far from comfortable.
