Shahid Kapoor shot for his next film Batti Gul Meter Chalu in Tehri, Uttarakhand. While shooting they stayed at a hotel with bare necessities and no luxuries, instead of a five-star hotel. Shahid being a fitness freak had set up his gym at the hotel they stayed.
The actor was very well taken care by the hotel management. As a token of gratitude, he left the gym equipments behind for the hotel.
However, Shahid was unaware that the hotel owner Gautam did not consider it a gift and had paid the production team the complete amount for the equipments. Much later, when Shahid got to know about it, he was really touched with the gesture and decided to stay in the same hotel every time he visits Tehri.
‘I like when my films are appreciated by intelligent, educated people who are experts in the field. These days, even rubbish films go on to become massive hits because there are so many people who just go to watch it without any understanding of the craft.’
Actor Pankaj Tripathi, after having his dream fulfilled by sharing screen with superstar Rajinikanth in Kaala, is geared up to portray a Malayali actor for the Shakeela Khan biopic. He said, “It’s a very colourful role. There’s a particular type of body language, a kind of status play as well. I hope the audience likes it as they have liked my other performances so far.” He has been watching Malayali films to prepare for the role.
Jolie goes on a hike with kids
Actress Angelina Jolie, who recently called off the custody battle over her children with Brad Pitt, stepped out for an outing with the children. The actress was spotted enjoying a labour day hike with four of the six children. She was wearing a loose-fitting gray T-shirt and skintight black leggings paired with black socks and black Nike trainers, while her daughters, Zahara (13), Shiloh (12), Vivienne (10), and her twin Knox were casually attired. Earlier this month, she had dragged Pitt into a public dispute claiming he was not make “meaningful” contributions.
