X Takes Down Khamenei's Hebrew Account Amid Israel-Iran Tensions

Iran's leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's newly launched Hebrew-language account on the social media platform X has been suspended after just two posts, according to the Jerusalem Post. The most recent post, made on Sunday, warned, "The Zionist regime made a mistake and erred in its calculation regarding Iran. We will make it understand the power, ability, initiative, and desire of the Iranian nation."

Khamenei's first Hebrew post appeared on Saturday, beginning with "In the name of Allah the merciful." These posts followed recent Israeli airstrikes targeting Iranian military sites. Khamenei's main account frequently features Hebrew-language content, often employing aggressive rhetoric toward Israel.

In his statements, Khamenei downplayed the impact of Israeli strikes, asserting that while Israel aims to exaggerate the consequences of its actions, Iran should not trivialize the attacks either. "They're making a miscalculation concerning Iran," he stated on his website. He emphasized that Israel fails to grasp the strength, capability, and determination of the Iranian people, and he expressed the need to correct this misunderstanding.

Following the airstrikes, Iran reported that two soldiers were killed when Israel targeted various military sites, including missile production facilities and surface-to-air missile systems. In response, Israel stated that the strikes were a direct reaction to an earlier missile attack from Iran on October 1, claiming its warplanes completed their mission successfully and returned unharmed.

Iran’s air force confirmed strikes in multiple provinces, including Tehran and Khuzestan, noting that the attacks resulted in "limited damage." The escalating tensions and rhetoric highlight the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel, with both sides continuing to assert their military capabilities and intentions.
