Rishabh Pant blasts match wining century

Young gun Rishabh Pant hit a counter-attacking century as India fought back against England on Day 1 of the ongoing fifth Test at Edgbaston in Birmingham. India was reeling at 98 for five before Pant and Jadeja provided the impetus to India's innings. The partnership between the two has crossed the 200-run mark, with Jadeja also scoring his fifty. Earlier, James Anderson and Matthew Potts had kept India at bay by taking three and two wickets, respectively. England captain Ben Stokes had earlier won the toss and opted to bowl in the rescheduled fifth Test against India at Edgbaston, Birmingham on Friday. Ravindra Jadeja got the nod ahead of Ravichandran Ashwin for the game. On the other hand, Cheteshwar Pujara opened the batting for India in the absence of Rohit Sharma but scored just 13 runs before becoming the victim of James Anderson. Virat Kohli's poor form continued as he scored 11 runs before losing his wicket to Matty Potts.
