PM Modi Prioritizes UCC, Tech Manufacturing, National Security and Anti-Corruption Drive

In his Independence Day address, Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a compelling case for the implementation of a Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in India, emphasizing that laws dividing the nation along religious lines have no place in modern society. He stated that the Supreme Court has consistently advocated for a UCC, highlighting the constitutional duty to fulfill this vision of the nation's founders. Modi called for widespread discussions, urging everyone to voice their opinions on creating a secular civil code, which he believes is crucial for eliminating religious discrimination.

Beyond the UCC, Modi touched on India's aspirations, expressing the country's dream to host the 2036 Olympics and promoting the "Vocal for Local" initiative for self-reliance. He acknowledged the efforts of India's soldiers, farmers, and youth in driving the nation forward.

Addressing the situation in Bangladesh, Modi expressed concern for the safety of Hindus amid the political unrest following Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's ouster. He reiterated India's support for Bangladesh's progress while calling for the protection of minorities there.

Modi also took a strong stand against nepotism, casteism, and corruption, vowing to eliminate these ills from Indian society. He criticized those with a negative mindset who resist India's growth, reaffirming his commitment to rooting out corruption and upholding the interests of the common man.
