PM Modi Encourages Indian Industry to Seize Moment Amid Global Investor Interest

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday highlighted the global interest in investing in India and urged the domestic industry to seize this 'golden chance' to contribute to achieving the goal of a developed India (Viksit Bharat) by 2047.

Speaking at a CII post-Budget conference on 'Journey Towards Viksit Bharat', Modi emphasized that his government does not lack political will and will prioritize a 'nation first' approach in all decisions. He noted that India is currently growing at 8 percent, predicting that the country will soon become the third-largest economy globally, up from its current fifth position. Modi expressed confidence that this milestone will be achieved during his ongoing third term.

He also highlighted various Budget measures aimed at promoting the MSME sector, which generates millions of jobs. "Today, the whole world is looking at India and you. The government's policies, commitment, and investment are laying the foundation for global development. Investors worldwide are eager to come to India, and world leaders are optimistic about India's future. This is a golden opportunity for Indian industry, and we must not let it slip away," Modi stated.

Modi called on the domestic industry to compete with the government in making India a developed nation by 2047 and to become a global player in emerging sectors. "The government's intent and commitment are clear. Whether it is 'nation first', a USD 5 trillion economy, Aatmanirbhar Bharat, or Viksit Bharat, we are working with full focus," he concluded.
