Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s Manto, which is directed by actress-filmmaker Nandita Das, is set to be screened the second edition of the Singapore South Asian International Film Festival (Sg.SAIFF).
The film follows the most tumultuous years and times in the life of the famed writer. Das says, “We are delighted to screen Manto as the opening film. He was very much a South Asian writer. But unlike the Europeans, we South Asians do not own this identity, despite many cultural and social similarities among the countries in the region”
‘The best workout is whatever activity fits into your schedule, even if it is a 10-minute brisk walk or a quick jog up the stairs. As long as you’re getting some activity and prioritising fitness, don’t worry about how much or how often you’re exercising.’

Ahead of the release of his film Paltan, actor Arjun Rampal has injured his ligament in an accident. The 45-year-old took to Instagram and shared a video in which he can be seen getting out from a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) machine at a hospital. Along with the video, he wrote, “Torn my Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL)… bummer. Bad timing. Accidents, MRI and bedridden.” Directed by JP Dutta, Paltan is based on the Nathu La and Cho La clashes of 1967 and will release on September 7.
