New Delhi, June 4 (IANS) The government of India has declared one-day state mourning on Saturday as a mark of respect to former Mauritius President Anerood Jugnauth, who passed away on Thursday.
Sir Anerood Jugnauth GCSK, KCMG, QC, MP, PC (29 March 1930 – 3 June 2021) was a popular Mauritian politician. He was both President and Prime Minister of Mauritius, breathed his last on Thursday at the age of 91.
Accordingly, the triclour will be flown at half-mast throughout India on Saturday and there will be no official entertainment programmes on the day.
