India Foils Pakistan’s Coordinated Strikes, Responds with Precision Force

India Foils Pakistan’s Coordinated Strikes, Responds with Precision Force

Late Wednesday night and early Thursday morning, Pakistan attempted a major escalation by targeting Indian military installations in 15 cities, including key areas in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, and Gujarat. However, India’s advanced air defence systems successfully intercepted all hostile drones and missiles, averting significant damage.

In swift retaliation, Indian armed forces launched targeted strikes on Pakistani air defence installations in multiple locations, including Lahore. The government emphasized that India’s response matched Pakistan’s aggression “in the same domain and with the same intensity.” HARPY drones were used to destroy Pakistani radar systems, while India’s Russian-made S-400 systems neutralized incoming threats.

This escalation follows India’s Operation Sindoor, a 25-minute precision strike early Wednesday that destroyed nine terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. The strike was a response to the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, where 26 civilians were massacred by four terrorists from The Resistance Front, a Lashkar-e-Taiba proxy.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh confirmed over 100 terrorists were eliminated during the operation, which included the use of HAMMER smart bombs and SCALP missiles. Key targets included Lashkar’s HQ in Muridke and Jaish-e-Mohammed’s training facility—groups responsible for past major attacks, including Pulwama.

Despite India’s restraint in avoiding military targets, Pakistan responded with cross-border shelling in multiple sectors, resulting in the deaths of 16 civilians and one Indian soldier. Heavy artillery has been reported in Kupwara, Uri, Baramulla, Rajouri, and Poonch.

India has reaffirmed its commitment to non-escalation but warned that any further Pakistani aggression will invite decisive action. Defence Minister Singh, in an all-party briefing, said Operation Sindoor remains "ongoing" as the situation evolves.
