India Dispatches 7 All-Party Delegations to Counter Global Terror Narrative

In a landmark diplomatic outreach, the Government of India has constituted seven all-party delegations comprising 59 members to travel across 32 countries and the EU headquarters in Brussels, aiming to convey India’s strong message of zero tolerance against terrorism. The initiative comes in the wake of the deadly April 22 Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu & Kashmir, which claimed 26 lives, prompting India to launch Operation Sindoor on May 7.

The delegations, drawn from across political parties and supported by senior diplomats, will begin their visits on May 23. These efforts are intended to build international consensus against cross-border terrorism and expose the infrastructure of terror operating out of Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

The groups are led by prominent leaders, including BJP’s Baijayant Panda and Ravi Shankar Prasad, Congress’s Shashi Tharoor, DMK’s Kanimozhi Karunanidhi, NCP (Sharad Pawar)’s Supriya Sule, JDU’s Sanjay Jha, and Shiv Sena’s Shrikant Shinde. Notable former diplomats such as Harsh Shringla, Pankaj Saran, and Syed Akbaruddin are accompanying the teams.

The delegations will visit countries across the Middle East, Europe, Southeast Asia, Africa, and the Americas to highlight the evidence of cross-border terror links and India’s calibrated military response, including precision strikes on terror camps in PoK and Pakistan that neutralized over 100 terrorists.

This global campaign follows a brief but intense four-day exchange of drone and missile strikes between India and Pakistan, ending with a ceasefire agreement on May 10.

India’s message is clear: while it seeks peace, it will not hesitate to act decisively against terrorism. The delegations will emphasize this stance while seeking greater global cooperation on counter-terrorism.
