GRACE AND FRANKIE: SEASON 5

The series follows septuagenarians Grace, a retired cosmetics mogul and Frankie, a hippie art teacher, whose husbands, Robert and Sol, are successful divorce lawyers.  Grace and Frankie’s lives are turned upside down when Robert and Sol announce that they are in love with each other and are leaving their wives. Now, the women, who have never particularly liked each other, are forced to live together and learn to unite and cope with difficulties. The series stars Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin and Martin Sheen. Grace and Frankie is slated to release on January 18 on Netflix.

Kingdom

As an emperor is gripped by a disease, its crown prince is the only hope of the empire’s citizens. As the deceased king rises and a mysterious plague begins to spread across the kingdom, the prince must face a new breed of enemies to unveil the evil scheme and save his people. The South Korean series is out on January 25 on Netflix, starring Ju Ji-hoon, Ryu Seung-ryong, and Bae Doona.

SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD

Based on Bryan Lee O’Malley’s eponymously-named book, the film follows twenty-two-year-old Scott Pilgrim (Michael Cera), who may not have a job, but is rocking the bass for his band, which is a tough job. When Scott meets eyes with Ramona Flowers (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), he knows she’s the one he wants to grow old with. But Ramona has some serious baggage; her exes rue the thought of her being with another man, and they’ll push aside any guy who gives her a second glance. Directed by Shaun of the Dead’s Edgar Wright, the film also stars actors Chris Evans and Brandon Routh as two of the seven ex-boyfriends of Ramona. It is slated to release on January 18 on Netflix.
